IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP FAILING?

Post 3 Relationship.jpg

Does this sound familiar to you?

‘If only my relationship with (you fill in the blank) was better, I would have more success in life.

OR: ‘If my partner changes, I will be happier’.

Have you ever heard someone say that?

Or perhaps you are the person who has thought that, or said that outloud?

Trust me, Warrior. I have been there.

As someone who has been in a relationship/marriage for 15 years, I waited for my partner to change.

I waited for him to change his habits so that I could be happier.

I saw him as the reason my business wasn’t where I wanted it to be.

And I blamed him for numerous other things in my life where I wasn’t feeling like I was thriving.

It took over 13 years of me thinking it was my partner’s fault for my life not being the way I wanted it to be.

And guess what, Warrior? Nothing changed.

Nothing changed.

Until, I realized, (and I mean, I REALLY got it) that in my life, it wasn’t a matter of my partner’s habits that was causing my lack of empowerment, but it was a matter of the relationship I was having with myself that was causing me disempowerment.

It was a matter of me staying in the masculine energy of overdoing and overfixing.

It was a matter of me careTAKING instead of careGIVING.

It was a matter of me looking to the outside world and comparing their relationships to mine, and deciding what was an ideal relationship based on somebody else’s experience, instead of me deciding what an ideal relationship was based on my experience.

It was a matter of me not trusting, valuing, and loving myself enough to no longer tolerate and draw boundaries.

Healing myself from my codependent behaviors required me to take many hard looks in the mirror and decide that it was time to be responsible not only for my thoughts and actions, but also being responsible for asking what I wanted from my partner.

It required me to commit to practicing radical acts of self love, meaning, I was actually dating myself and I treated myself as if I was the most important person in my life, a person who I truly loved.

It required me to be relentless in my self care and to hire the best people to help me.

And the result? Well, I’m told by all of my friends that I’m different, in the best possible way.

I radiate love from within that shines bright and allows me to be lovingly available to those I love and those I help.

It has allowed me to expand my life so that I could create a business and lifestyle that aligns with me and is abundant and prosperous.

If you are struggling with your business, with over doing, or with any behaviors that stem from a lack of self love or self worth, allow me to help you.
