What if you could succeed more without feeling depleted?

I have to admit, Warriors.  I am struggling a little to write my weekly article today.  It’s the Monday after Thanksgiving, it’s cold, wet, and rainy here in New England, and it’s a full moon and a lunar eclipse.   And like so many of you are probably feeling, I want to retreat under the covers and finish Season 6 of Schitt’s Creek, blowing off all the work that’s on my manifestation list today.

My husband even pointed out that our youngest cat, Belle, who is totally a ‘people person’ and is fueled by attention and excitement, might also be going through some withdrawal from the weekend.  My goodness, our pets are so in tune with us, aren’t they?

However you are feeling today, I hope you enjoyed the weekend, wherever you live.  And if you are noticing that you are feeling a little tired, sad, or tripped up from your routine, you may or may not already know the importance of giving yourself some grace this week.

My invitation to you is to allow whatever needs to come through, by journaling, taking a quiet walk, or going inward through meditation or silence.  I find that it’s these days that are our best teachers, because the wisdom of our body, mind and spirit is asking for a pause.  It’s asking us to take it down a few notches.  It is asking for rest.  And it’s through rest and quiet when our creativity comes through, where ideas are born, aren’t they?

In our hopefully soon-to-be obsolete masculine culture, we are taught to go-go-go, to do-do-do, and to make agreements that may not be for our highest and bestest good, out of integrity with our greatest superpower, our intuition.  This way of living not only blocks our intuition, but it also blocks any creative flow that can come through us for that next idea.

If you are a person who is always saying that you’re not creative and continue to struggle in life and business, I invite you to rewrite that story and choose your new one.  You may soon discover that it is in silence and quieting the mind that your next business idea waits.

Over the weekend, I read a very profound passage in one of my favorite books by Florence Scovel Shinn, ‘The Secret Door to Success’:

Many people are in a fog most of the time, making wrong decisions and going the wrong way.

During the Christmas rush, my maid said to a saleswoman at one of the big shops, "I suppose this is your busiest day." She replied, "Oh no! The day after Christmas is our busiest day, when people bring most of the things back."

Hundreds of people choosing the wrong gifts because they were not listening to their intuitive leads.

No matter what you are doing, ask for guidance. It saves time and energy and often a lifetime of misery.

All suffering comes from the violation of intuition. Unless intuition builds the house, they labor in vain who build it.

So if you are finding yourself continually not feeling good physically, emotionally, or spiritually, have you fully considered the reason why you don’t feel good?

===>Is it because you are out of integrity with what your inner guidance is telling you?

===>Is it because your mind, body, and spirit is asking for a time-out and you keep convincing yourself otherwise?

===>Is it because you keep buying those holiday presents, only to cross it off the to-do list, when you secretly assume that the person will probably return the gift anyway?

Let’s face it, 2020 has been a challenge.  You already know that.

Have you asked your higher self what this challenge wants YOU to know?  (hint: this can be a nice journal prompt!!)

And to my Solopreneur Warriors...I’ll leave you with this:

I surround myself with many successfully minded people, and what I’ve observed in them, is this:  Successful people know when it’s time to ship the project, but they also know when to put on the brakes; to rest and to conserve energy.

Some of the most successful people I know and respect are in integrity with themselves and do not waiver on their boundaries that they set with themselves and others.  Meaning, if their intuition tells them it’s time to let go of that toxic friendship, then it’s time to let go.

Successful people also hire people to help them, instead of wasting valuable time trying to figure it out on their own, or forever swimming in a sea of inspiration and never moving forward. Because like you’ve probably heard before, it takes a village to make an impact in the world.

And if you’re not fully convinced that your inner wisdom is all you need to run a successful business, maybe you’ll spend some time considering it some more, and convince yourself.

But if this does resonate, I am excited to announce that my next program, “The Business of Self Love; How to Attract Financial Abundance by Loving Yourself’ is going to be opening its doors soon.
